An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Housing and Area Management team delivering older persons housing services to the Council's tenants.

The Housing Plus service delivers supported housing to older people. Our challenge is to deliver services that older people want both now and into the future whilst promoting an active older age for South Tyneside residents. Our Housing Plus Officers play a key role in this and work as part of a large team delivering support to residents in Housing Plus schemes across the Borough.

So what are we looking for?

Housing Plus Officer - Full Time

You will be responsible for helping deliver the Housing Plus service out in the Housing Plus schemes. The person we are looking for will be a team player who is enthusiastic and passionate about delivering excellent customer service to older people. This position will not be specific to a particular scheme therefore you must be flexible, able to drive and have access to a vehicle for work use and be prepared to work from various locations. We provide our critical services 365 days of the year & therefore there is an expectation you will contribute to this rota (additional pay received)

If you are interested in what you have read and meet our criteria we would welcome an application from you.

If you would like to know any more we will be pleased to answer any of your questions on 0300 123 6633 or contact either John Robertshaw or Emma O'Sullivan Assistant Area Managers via email to or emma.o'

Closing date is noon on Friday 22nd October 2021. BT Typetalkers welcome.

Please may we ask you to submit your Application form via email to where possible? We apologise but due to the circumstances there may be unavoidable delays in the receipt and processing of posted Application forms.

Diversity is about meeting the needs of a broader range of people so that no one is excluded because they have different needs, different expectations, or because they need to access services in different ways.
